BASSMASSE is an orchestra consisting of 13 and up to 50 double basses. It was founded in 2012 by Sebastian
Gramss.

This LP is a marvel of playing on the double bass. Sound textures and filigree plants open up to embark on a metaphysical sound journey. A great pleasure when you listen to the music aloud. Jonas creates exciting, philosophical and entertaining phonographic structures that pick you up, wrap you up and inspire you. It's great to hear how you can get so much out of a single instrument. But there is still more to get out of it. I am looking forward to hearing more from Jonas Gerigk in the future.
